Jacob Graham DipPFS Founding Partner & Paraplanner

Jacob founded JG Paraplanning in November 2022, providing outsourced paraplanning support to financial planners. Jacob has over 7 years of experience in Financial Services, having worked as an in-house paraplanner for SJP and Quilter practices, in addition to working in pension administration. He is also passionate about mentoring upcoming paraplanners, as a mentor at the Paraplanner Club, and brings a deep commitment to client care. When not at work, Jacob loves cooking up a storm in the kitchen, reading, and countryside walks. He's also a big advocate for mental health and is a member of the Institute of Financial Wellbeing.

Aaron Longbottom Managing Partner & Operations Lead

Aaron joined JG Paraplanning in June 2023, bringing 8 years of experience from tech start-ups, working in a wide range of roles, including Tech Support, Customer Success, Accounts, Revenue Operations and Customer Onboarding. His joining the business laid out the foundation of the Admin Support function. Aaron's expertise lies in managing client relationships and supporting them in optimising their existing processes. Outside of work, Aaron enjoys swimming, video games, travel and learning languages (especially to keep up his French). He is also a singer and wedding celebrant, having performed his first wedding in September 2023.

Sarah Bolton Client Relationship Manager

Sarah joined us in February 2024, bringing with her 4 years of valuable experience gained working at a Partner Practice of St. James's Place. As a CRM and process whizz, Sarah is adept at updating client financial records and fact finds, preparing sign-up, review and presentation meeting documentation, as well as processing business. Outside of the office, Sarah enjoys a fulfilling personal life, sharing a loving marriage of 9 years with her husband, Anthony. She finds joy in going to the gym, killing it at spin class and bootcamp, and looking after her Nana, who lives with her at home. Sarah passionately supports Wrexham A.F.C., where her nephew Luke plays midfield.

Oliver Appleby Admin Support Specialist

Ollie joined the JG team in February 2024, bringing a unique blend of experiences to the role, with his background in teaching and primary school education. Day to day, Ollie provides personable paraplanning and admin support for our client, from processing and chasing LOAs to quality checking reports before case submission or sending to an adviser for final proofreading. Outside of work, Ollie enjoys exploring the picturesque landscapes of the Peak District, video games, and catching the latest box-office releases at the local cinema. Ollie shares a home with his partner Lydia and their 2 cherished feline companions, Eddie and Robin.

Issy Knowles Apprentice Paraplanner

Issy joined us in February 2025, bringing our team to 5. As an apprentice, she is working toward her Level 4 Paraplanning Apprenticeship with Skills Edge Training and will be completing her R01, R02, R03 and J09 exams through the CII. After completing her apprenticeship, she hopes to gain further experience as a Paraplanner and complete the rest of her R0 exams, eventually wishing to become an Independent Financial Adviser. Outside of work, Issy’s ideal day includes a morning gym session, an iced coffee on the way back, experimenting with a new recipe in the kitchen once home, followed by dining out and exploring new foods and flavours at different restaurants around Manchester.
